A Western Zip Line Course Come check out our newest activity on the ranch. Replace your cowboy hat and chaps with a harness and helmet for a few hours of scenic zips across the ranch. We have four zip lines on the ranch encompassing 3400 feet of cable and exciting heights up to 300 feet. This classic Colorado mountain thrill is sure to capture your excitement. Adult Only Weeks! During the weeks starting September 1st and September 8th we will be having our fall adult only weeks. Enjoy the ranch with a few less guests, relaxed atmosphere, fun couples and singles and outstanding Colorado high-country fall weather. 3 rd Annual Oil Painting Workshop hosted at Drowsy Water Guest Ranch: September 8-14th, 2013 Join Barbara Tiffany for an intense painting workshop and classes while staying at one of Colorado's Premier Guest Ranches, Drowsy Water Ranch. You will have a chance to paint each day or enjoy other activities the ranch has to offer. Painting times are flexible and there will be two scheduled painting demonstrations. All skill levels welcome! Barbara, a Florida artist, has visited the ranch a number of times for personal painting and vacation and is excited to host the workshop for the thid time. Starting with a career in commercial art, she became a full time artist in 1982 and began teaching at the Maitland Art Center in 1983 through 1995 where she also maintained a studio for 20 years. She has organized and attended workshops taught by Gregg Kreutz, an instructor from The Art Students League in New York City annually from 1991 to 2005.
